Our street scene is really beginning to come together at Grant’s Ferry Cove. The landscaping is in for our Red Cedar homes on Pipewood and the stucco has been completed on our Bay Laurel homes overlooking the lake and clubhouse. The random width heart pine floors have been installed and the stain will be applied this week.
As you look down Bottlebrush Walk, you can truly see the character of the community with differing rooflines and exterior finishes. Our developers have created a two bedroom one level home, as we have had a number of requests for such. The plans are on the drawing board as I write this update and we can start construction of a custom home within the month. Please stop in to see us at the clubhouse and let us show you the plans and give you the tour. We are conveniently located on Hwy 99 between Golden Isles Pkwy and I-95 from exit 42. Or take Golden Isles Pkwy from I-95 to Hwy 99, turn right and our entrance will be on your right just past Odyssey Lake apartments.
On Wednesday, October 21st, Grant’s Ferry Cove celebrated their grand opening with a Halloween Open House. Carol Weber, from BB&T Mortgage, provided $50 gift cards to Longhorn Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Crabdaddy’s and Cargo Portside as door prizes for our guests. Kate Moore from Ligon, Middleton and Lindberg provided us with two beautiful fruit and cheese trays as well as homemade cupcakes and cookies. We set the food up on the porch overlooking the pool so that guests could enjoy the view while they visited. The event was scheduled for 11 to 3, but lasted much longer as we had over 60 people join us to tour the clubhouse and model as well as the two new styles we have begun. We had stuffed a grab bag with over $500 in cash and each visitor enjoyed trying their hand at a chance to win up to $100 in cash!
A grand time was had by all and everyone was most complementary about our 6 new homes we are offering, as well as the beautiful decor of the clubhouse and model. We have had a number of folks ask us if we could build a two bedroom for them and have come up with a floorplan to offer. Please stop in to see us and let us tell you all about all of our designs. The sales center is open in the clubhouse from 10 to 4 Monday through Friday and 12 to 4 on Saturday. We can be here on Sunday as well by appointment after church.
Things have really gotten exciting around here at Grant’s Ferry Cove this summer! Our clubhouse and model are complete and both have been beautifully decorated by Robert Grayson of Robert Grayson Interiors, Miami Circle, Atlanta. As you can see by a sampling of the photographs, Robert has chosen a coastal theme with cool earthy hues. The atmosphere in the clubhouse and model both would be casual elegance.
Our tennis courts, lake and swimming pool are in and ready to be enjoyed. The landscape and even the mail kiosk are complete. Our sales and information center is open in the clubhouse, and you will find us available from 10-4 Monday through Saturday, Sunday by appointment. Please stop in and ask us to give you a tour of the model, site map and design center. Be sure to ask us about our furnished model package!
We chose the River Birch floorplan for the model, which features two masters on the main level with a third bedroom and bath upstairs, along with a loft overlooking the keeping room. We have broken ground on our Bay Laurel and Red Cedar floorplans and you will be able to view those on site soon. Until then, our design center is filled with information about each plan and all of your finishes to choose from including cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring.
The first residences at Grant’s Ferry Cove will soon be released! The community tennis courts have been installed and the infinity-edge pool is nearly complete. The outdoor fireplace at the clubhouse is under construction. Additionally, the clubhouse recently received hard wood flooring in the main areas, with rubberized athletic flooring in the yoga room. The first model home recently received hardwood flooring and a wood burning fireplace. Landscaping and irrigation are also underway for the community.

Alexander Properties and Allen Construction are making great strides on the construction of Grant’s Ferry Cove. The tennis courts are installed and the lake is filling with water. Soon, both will be ready for the first residents to enjoy! Additionally, as you can see in the photos, they are installing street curbing now and will soon be paving, just after the first of the year. The model home is also coming along nicely. The wood burning fireplace is ready to be set and the tongue-in-groove heart-pine paneling is being installed in the foyer.
